To prove your identity (both are required):

• Photo ID (ideally driving licence or passport)
• Proof of home address (ideally a utility bill; dated within the last 3 months)

For your business (at least two of the following documents are required):

• Bank Statement (must be dated within the last 3 months)
• Letter from HM Revenue & Customs
• Letter from registered Solicitor
• Letter from registered Accountant
• VAT return/registration number (papers must be produced)

To complete the process, our staff will confirm – through publicly-available sources – that you are a sole trader or sole director of your company. As such, your first visit to set up your business account with us will last approximately 30 – 45 minutes. Future visits should be considerably shorter.

*We cash 99% of the cheque we see at the time they are presented. However, circumstances may be such that you would only receive a part-payment, or payment only upon the cheque clearing our bank account.
